Our Agro-industry (Agro-processing and value addition) needs a vegetable and fruit processing factory.
Project Description 1:
This project provides a unique opportunity for the Somali diaspora and foreign investors to be part of a multipurpose fruit processing facility with the most suitable production systems so as to process and add value to vegetables and fruits in Somalia (pulp, food concentrates, confectioneries like juices, tomato concentrates and others). The required investment is in processing technology for fruit and vegetable chopping, pulp extraction, evaporation, fruit drying, and production of fresh juices. The factory needs a fruit sorting, grading, drying, storage, and packaging center to prepare and process fresh vegetables and fruits for consumption in the local, regional and international markets.
The project aims to provide an accessible market and fair price for vegetable and fruit farmers by adding value to their produce. The factory’s capacity will drive demand for feedstock from farmers, which will reduce post-harvest losses and result in an expansion of acreage under fruit and vegetable farming.

We also need a processing factory for dry commodities, like maize milling, packaging, and bagging machines.
